We were absolutely delighted to come out of the closure for the Covid pandemic and be awarded our 2021 CAMRA local branch Pub of the Year. Presented to us by Anne Radley from South West Essex (London) region.

We were entered into the Cider Pub Of The Year competition as well and were delighted to win this for the local branch.

Later, we were utterly delighted to discover that we had been judged London Cider Pub of the Year for Greater London by the CAMRA cider and perry judging teams. We champion real, whole fruit cider and perry from Kent and all over the country, so we were delighted to be named the best pub in London to drink cider.

After winning the local branch, we were entered into the competition for the overall London Pub of the Year against all the other Greater London winners. When we found out we had been named the best pub in the whole of London by CAMRA, we were astonished and thrilled.

London Regional Director Geoff Strawbridge presented us with our Greater London Pub of the Year award in December 2021. Despite only seating a small number of guests and opening in December 2019, just prior to the pandemic restrictions, we have beaten off stiff competition from pubs of all sizes all over London, to win the accolade.
